We take an early drive for 6 hours to the beautiful city of Pokhara. Its pristine beauty with back drop of snowy peaks and green surrounding make it’s a remarkable place to visit. Check it to hotel and explore the surrounding.

Taking an incredible flight we land at the small mountain airport of Jomsom. Have breakfast, make the bikes ready and start paddling. The ride today start at the altitude of 2700 meter, we trace the kaligandaki river up ward with mostly flat riding of 14 km and stop at the beautiful village of kagbeni for over night. Explore Kagbeni and its monastery.
 

Not a long ride but little challenging at we are climbing for almost 1000 meter to the sacred temple of muktinath at the altitude of 3800 meter. We bike mostly uphill following the dusty jeep track and local village to Muktinath. We explore this temple and monasteries of the area and overnight.

Leaving the sacred temple of Muktinath today we enter the restricted region of upper mustang which is also knows as hidden treasure of Nepal and once was a separate kingdom.

The trail climbs with 80% riding up to the pass of Guy la pass of 4077 meter with panoramic views of snow capped mountain and follow the rolling ridge trail down to Tetang and more than thousand meter descent on suburb single track and continue down to Chhusang. From here we climb a bit and cross the river to reach our overnight place at Chele.

Today is not a long day but still a hard day of mixed biking on jeep track, single track , up hill, steep down hill and some section of carrying and pushing. Today we have to cross over passes of  Dajola (3735 m), Bhena la (3830m) and Beg la 3840 meter before we stop our day for today at syanboche.

The day begins with a short climb to syanboche la pass of 3850 meter and follow the  rolling jeep track through open valley and fields to Ghiling and ascend up to the pass of Nyi la 4010 meter with the mountain view of Annapurna and Nilgiri. Enjoy some section of single downhill tack and again follow the jeep track to the village of Charang where we explore 400 year old Gulpa sect monastery.

Enjoy the open and easy jeep track. We have pass of lo la 3950 meter before we reach the walled city of Lo manthang.  We will get clear view of the beautiful wall city of lo manthang from the pass which used to be a separate kingdom. We explore the Royal palace and monasteries around.

Following the Kaligandaki river upward we take side trip to Garphu to explore the old monasteries and cave of this remote area. The beautiful scenery and isolated area with Tibetan culture is worth experiencing. On the way back we can take single track through villages back to Lo manthang.

We have some challenging climb waiting for us to cross  two passes over 4000 meter which will be rewarded by some excellent down hill and single track. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and we also come by the longest mani wall in mustang before stopping at Ghami for overnight.

Retracing our way we climb over Nyla pass of 4010 meter and drop down to Syanboche. From here we head toward Ranchung cave along some pretty stunning single track which will be followed by some hour of pushing and carry before single track down hill to Samar.

Retrace our way back to chhusang crossing over two passes over 3500 meter and follow jeep track back to Jomsom and relax.

Early morning we take a short but amazing flight with spectacular view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range back to Pokhara. Check in to hotel and relax

Explore pokhara in the morning and take half an hour flight back to Kathmandu in the afternoon and transfer to hotel.

Nepal has unpredictable weather and varies from altitude ranges. The best season to select this trip is in Autumn and Spring. Autumn (mid- September to November) while air are clean with high visibility and the weather is brisk but not too cold. The days are sunny (10-25 degrees) but the temperature drops as at night ( 0 to - 5 degrees). The spring (Mar to mid may) is the seasons for flowers to bloom. The days are warmer (15-25 degrees) and night are (5-10 degrees). The biking could be done in monsoon (June- August) as well as the area lies over the cloud so the monsoon does not give heavy rain and a good area if you are planning to travel to Nepal between June - August.

The trip includes up hill and down hill biking but do not required previous mountain biking experience but need to be some one who is physically fit and used to bike around.

A teahouse is combination of basic room and a restaurant with large dinning room as social hang out place. Local villagers normally run the lodge and mostly a room is consisting of twin beds and blanket and has facilities of sharing bath rooms and toilets.

All hotels, we provide are comfort hotel of 3 star category inclusive of delicious breakfast. It is possible to upgrade the hotel to luxury on extra cost.

All meals (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner with tea/coffee) are served on our trip. Teahouses serve variety of different food items from traditional food to some western food. The food is usually plentiful and delicious but the menu is not normally extensive. Cereals, breads and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast and items of rice, noodles, potatoes, vegetable, pastas and pizza are normally in the menu. You could easy buy mineral water or boiled water in teahouse. We suggest using of boiled water or using purifying drop than bottled water to minimize the negative impact that is caught by place bottle.

Domestic flight and all necessary ground transport are provided including mountain bikes with helmets and repairing kits. The flight to/from Jomsom have restriction on weight of max 15 kg including hand baggage`s and the flight are always depending on weather condition with chances of being delayed or even cancelled due to bad weather. While biking we provide ponies to carry luggage's.

Weather in the mountains is unpredictable and can change rapidly. Even in the spring time when temperatures are normally warmer, a sudden change in the weather could drop down the temperature so always be prepared for changes that could occur during the trip.

We suggest light travelling which makes you easier to move around. We suggest you to bring one-day bag for your valuable and a waterproof rucksack or duffel bag for your clothing’s and equipment’s. We provide one porter for every two travellers unless you request your own personal porter. The maximum porter are allowed to carry is 10 kg per travellers. So it is necessary to make the trekking bag lighter as possible and left unnecessary luggage at your hotel in Kathmandu.
